| Just Dabbling And Not: You Have To Get'r Done And Do It Right |
|
This has been a rant of mine for many of months now. I sit back and watch people just barely make attempts to fulfill a duty they either are getting paid to do, or need to do for personal reasons. Some people just barely dabble with their projects, some do a half arsed job of it and some just never get'r done. The other day I was on the phone talking to my internet provider about the poor service I have, and that I pay for their very best package. Fact of he matter is, regular dial up would kick my high speed cables butt. I mentioned to the woman on the other end that there were many trees in the area that were in contact with the lines and I felt that they may be causing some of the problems with service. (Please bare in mind, I have been complaining to the company for months now and the problem has never been resolved.) Well, after me mentioning the tree problem, she told me that I should find out who owns the properties and get them to trim back the trees. This didn't sit well with me because I pay them to deliver it to my home and they are responsible for it's delivery not me. This is only one example of no one getting things done. In many aspects of our life, we depend on people to do things, finish thing or at least get the job done right. Lives are at stake when people foul up. Our food is at risk because people are not doing their jobs properly. Our water supply needs to be cared for and managed by people who make a real effort and are concerned about what they do. We have to stop accepting botch ups in our medical fields and make people perform responsibly. Is it really too much to ask of people to do their jobs with a fair amount of effort? Just take pride!!! Unless we start doing what needs to be done, our economy, our government and our world will fall apart. Read the full story |
