Last Call: XHTML Role Attribute Module |
2007-10-05: The HTML Working Group released a Last Call Working Draft of XHTML Role Attribute Module. With the role attribute, authors can annotate XML languages with machine-readable semantic information about the purpose of elements. Use cases include accessibility, device adaptation, server-side processing and complex data description. The attribute can be integrated into any markup language based on XHTML Modularization.
