| WTF: How can WTF be made less cluttered with spam? |

Look, there's no doubt spam works - people will click on spam links just for fun at work, and it is shocking to see the people who respond to spam ads genuinely. A general discussion of spam is here: http://kristinelowe.blogs.com/… And some spam stats, albeit a bit out of date, are here: http://www.wired.com/techbiz/m… I suppose I should offer my own thoughts on the matter. For me, spam will only go away when the Internet has a way of rewarding those seeking to legitimately make money from it, like freelance writers who are stuck writing copy at a per word rate. The beauty of the Internet is that a well-written and thoughtful opinion may bring in real rewards, like new people to network with, or a little bit of cash from affiliate links. Unfortunately, content providers are not being treated nearly as well as aggregators, including aggregators that collect nothing but spam.
