It's pretty obvious college students are being taken advantage of. In math class for instance, 1+1 = 2. It has been this way for decades. There's no need to continually release new editions of a math book every year. I'd like to think that the bookstore was not at fault, rather it was the Publishers - but the bookstores are in on this even worse - buying back students books at chump change and re-selling them at premium prices. They give their profits to the AS Gov, who's job is to make student life more expressive, but how can the student government offer student activities properly when it's at thw expense of all students on campus who hurt from college tuition in general, and the fabric of education - books. I'm developing a new web 2.0 app that will solve known problems and issues of a book exchange. It's called Pazap ( http://www.pazap.com ), an onomatopoeia for the sound a laser makes: fast, focused, and powerful. Check it out, let me know what you think. # Shipping is a hassle for most students. Pazap beams that problem away by trading with others on campus. # Other book exchanges on campus is that the Ads that are posted have no indication if they are still available or not. Lets face it, students are lazy to close out their ads if they sell. Pazap blasts that problem gone. # Students are getting lots of email and it's hard to keep track of potential buyers...Pazap shoots off a text message when ads have been sold. Buying and Selling books is going to be different this time around! Hope you enjoy the new app. Remember, the user interface is totally cutting edge and different, so it may get some used to.
